Koen
Koen Van Pottelbergh, Founder of Eyes For The World, has been an optometrist since 1990. He was greatly inspired by professor Joshua Silver when working together in 2012. Silver had created an adjustable pair of glasses called the ‘Adspecs’. Two years later Koen met Prof John Friedman, an American anthropologist, and they started working on their own adjustable spectacles, the ‘Focusspecs’. With these innovations he was able to help people with myopia and hypermetropia, but handling astigmatism was left a tough nut to crack. Enter the Eyesnap Technology; a new way of treating vision-related dysfunctions that he is poised to make accessible for all. Koen strongly believes that everyone should be able to enjoy a healthy and functional sight.
